  1. Added a 'Pre-Boil' calculator to recipe pages (Main recipe page and main Brewing Session Recipe page). By pressing the new 'Pre-Boil' button on the screen, a small dialog will pop up and tell you what the starting volume and gravity of the wort should be before the boil begins, in order to hit your target volume and gravity at the end of the boil.

Additionally you can print these values, and there is also a new selection in the pre-print dialogs to print the pre-boil values or not when printing a recipe or brewing session.

The values are calculated based on the type of evaporation rate set in the System Defaults, and the actual Evaporation rate for recipe is set to the default set in the Stand-Alone Water Needed and for Brewing Sessions the evaporation rate is set in the imbedded Water Needed calculator.

  2. Added to the ability to specify a hop being used in 'First Wort Hoppings'. In a recipe's hop list dialog, bringing the boil value to below 0 would print 'Dry', indicating a dry hop. Now, bringing the boil value to above the wort boil time will result if 'FW' being printed indicating a 'First Wort Hopping' entry. Additionally, there is more utilization with First Wort Hops, and you can set the amount of additional utilization in the System Default, First Wort Hopping Inc Amount. All printout will reflect the new 'First Wort Hopping' entries as well.

  3. Added a 'Individual Malt Gravity/Color Contribution' dialog within recipes and brewing session recipe entries. The dialog is launched by highlighting an entry in a recipe's malt list and pressing the new '%' button on the right hand side of the list. The malt's individual gravity and color contribution to the recipe is then displayed.

  4. Added a 'Single Unit' measurement type to the extra ingredients database. Now you can choose to simply denote the measurement as a 'unit'. All dialogs and printouts have been modified to accept the new unit of measure.

  5. In the Stand-Alone Water Needed Calculator, trying to enter in or modify the decimal portion of the Qts/Lbs ratio or Mash Gallons was next to impossible due to some flaky UI behavior. You could do it, but it was not easy. This problem has been corrected.

  6. TAB order in the Stand Alone Water Profiler and the Brewing Session Water Profiler were a bit wacked. This has been corrected.

  7. If using the Water Needed Calculator within a Brewing Session, and you were using Metric units, the Kettle Top-Up water amount would not be saved properly. This has been corrected.

Additionally, in all Water Needed calculators, the grain absorption rate was always printed in American, regardless of your current settings. This has been corrected.

  8. Touched up some of the text alignments in the Water Needed dialogs. Also changed the 'Left In Misc. Equipment' entry to 'Left in Other Equipment / Other Absorption'. This is so it may denote possible absorption values like whole hop wort absorption, etc., as well as possible misc. equipment values. Printouts now reflect the modification as well.
