Step Infusion Problem

Jeff,

I have noticed that Promash can very accurately determine the amount and temperature of the water necessary for the initial infusion in the mash schedule. However, when doing subsequent steps, it always misses the temp by at least 5 degrees. I end up having to draw off some wort, boil, and add back to reach the desired temp. Could it be that Promash is not accounting for the thermal mass of the water? In other words, does it assume that there is only the mass of the grain at say 145 F when determining how much water at 210 F to add to get to 158 F.
