You are correct in that the current version only allows for one type of carbonation medium per se(you can split it in the Kegging/Carb section of a brewing session if desired, but not combine them) and yes, we absolutely plan to have a feature to allow for carbonation with any type of fermentable and multiple types as well. It's on our todo list and is also a feature we would like for ourselves...
