The Float

The shaft is marked with 10 main increments ranging from 0 to 10, with 4 side markers between each main marker, for a 0.2 accuracy between marks. Every mark is readable.

The side of the top shaft contains the Hydrometer's serial number stamp of 1651, with the calibration mark P on the reverse side.

The Thermometer

The thermometer measures degrees Fahrenheit from 25 degrees to 105 degrees. This is a mercury thermometer, with an ivory back and very solid protection attachments. The ivory on this piece is in terrific condition, and the backside printing is very unique.

This thermometer is in working condition and at the time the scan was taken, if you look close enough at the detail picture you can see it is reading 75 1/2 degrees.
